The University of Florida brought me to Gainesville in 1976. Absolutely loving the area I decided to stay and moved to the country between Alachua and High Springs in order to have my horses. In 1977 I began my Real Estate career specializing in farms and acreage and by 1979 opened my own brokerage firm known as Horizon Realty.

After 29 years in the business, I still love the land and working with people specializing in marketing single family homes and new construction, rural subdivision development and farm sales. Hard work, knowledge of the area, continuous education in real estate and finance, and dedication to the community are the factors that have proven successful.

As the Broker and owner of Horizon Realty, I enjoy helping the salespeople find their clients the perfect property in our area and guide them through the process of buying and closing. I work closely with each agent to develop a marketing strategy and advertising campaign for every listing that Horizon Realty markets. Through my experience and education as a graduate of the Realtor's Institute, holding a certified Building Contractor's license, specialty courses in development and constant ongoing education, keeps the sales staff up to date with the latest information and marketing techniques available.

My involvement with the Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors includes serving on the MLS Executive Committee and the Professional Standards Committee, as well as a past member of the Board of Directors. I believe that being active in the Board helps keep me and Horizon Realty up to date with the latest technologies, real estate legislation and laws as well as a thorough understanding of the professional standards which Realtors are bound to.

My husband, Jeff and my two children, Stephanie & AJ and myself still live between Alachua and High Springs. The entire family is dedicated to showing Quarter Horses, youth sports including football, basketball, softball, volleyball, BMX racing and tennis. Stephanie attends Santa Fe High School and AJ attends High Springs Community School.

Some of you may know me as Robin Register or Robin Barry.  I am a licensed realtor at Horizon Realty of Alachua, Inc.  Horizon Realty prides itself on being the largest full-service real estate team in the Alachua-High Springs area.  We serve a large market area including the City of Gainesville and Alachua County as well as Union, Columbia, Gilchrist and Levy Counties.

Alachua is my hometown.  I am a 1985 graduate of Santa Fe High School, and a graduate of Santa Fe Community College.  As a teenager, I was involved in athletics and school activities.

Before I started my career in real estate, I was employed at the University of Florida for over 15 years.  I have made many contacts and have met a variety of people at the University of Florida, and have learned a great deal about the city of Gainesville.

As a resident of Gilchrist County since 1993, I have obtained a vast amount of knowledge of the small towns that make up this community, and of the surrounding counties, including Columbia, Dixie, Levy and Suwannee. 

My husband Terry and I are very involved with our children, who attend Bell  Middle/High School.  Terry has coached baseball and football for the Gilchrist County Recreational Authority and for Suwannee Valley Leagues, Inc.  I have chaperoned numerous school functions and field trips, and have assisted Terry with his coaching responsibilities.  When we are not involved with our children's school activities, you can usually find us on one of the many Florida beaches.

I am a member of the Gainesville Alachua County Association of Realtors, Dixie-Gilchrist-Levy Board of Realtors, Florida Association of Realtors, and  National Association of realtors. 

As a homeowner, I understand how overwhelming the process of purchasing or selling real estate can be, as well as how exciting it is when you have accomplished homeownership.  I am excited about assisting clients in this process.
